Ken Golding, co-founder of Junxure client relationship management software, has died at 62.

Reports of his death surfaced on social media Monday and have been confirmed by InvestmentNews with sources familiar to Golding. No cause or additional details have been provided, and Golding’s family has not yet made a statement.

“I just recently learned that Ken Golding has passed away,” said Joel Bruckenstein, an industry consultant and producer of the annual T3 advisor technology conference, on LinkedIn. “Ken was an industry pioneer who created the software that came to be known as Junxure CRM, now AdvisorEngine CRM. Thousands of advisors and hundreds of thousands of their clients benefited from Ken’s efforts.”

Golding launched Junxure with his partner, Greg Friedman, in 2001 as a CRM specifically designed to serve financial advisors. When Junxure was acquired by AdvisorEngine in 2018, the firm boasted 12,000 active users managing more than $600 billion in assets.

AdvisorEngine was acquired by Franklin Templeton in 2020, and in 2022 the company decided to retire the Junxure brand in favor of AdvisorEngine CRM.

After the acquisition, Golding stayed in touch with many of the team at AdvisorEngine, said CEO Rich Cancro in a statement.

“So many AdvisorEngine employees have very personal stories to tell about Ken. In every anecdote, what comes up again and again is how supportive he was and how much he cared about his colleagues, the product, and the clients,” Cancro said. “He will be remembered for his camaraderie, and I hope he will be remembered for his contribution to fintech.”
